Meet Our Physicians

 

Militza Ausmanas, MDMilitza Ausmanas, MD

Dr. Militza Ausmanas is a board certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive care for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of her patients. She treats all age groups and makes sure her patients are engaged in their own health care as well. Dr. Ausmanas completed her family medicine residency at Williamsport Regional Medical Center and earned her doctorate at Meharry Medical College. Prior to joining Olympia Family & Internal Medicine, Dr. Ausmanas cared for patients as a hospitalist and emergency room physician at a rural community hospital in Virginia. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She lives in Olympia with her husband, Jeff. She is a member of the Olympia Mountaineers and loves to hike, backpack, camp and kayak.

 

Virginia Cannon, MDVirginia Cannon, MD

Dr. Virginia Cannon completed medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She completed her internal medicine residency and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been in practice in Olympia since 1989. In addition to practicing internal medicine, Dr. Cannon also specializes in the evaluation and therapy of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. She lives in Olympia with her husband Lon.

Dr. Lent has an extensive career in healthcare, has a Masters in Nursing, was a certified Nurse Practitioner and she is an International Medical Graduate from Grace University School of Medicine in St. Kitts-Nevis.  She passed the US medical licensing examinations, then completed a 3 year Internal Medicine Residency at Wright State University of Medicine in 2001.  She is a board certified in Internal Medicine, and as an Adult health physician, she is trained in managing multi-system health disorders including management of cardiovascular disorders, lung disorders, GI disorders, high cholesterol and diabetes management.  She comes to the Northwest to be close to family and lives with her husband and 2 sons.

 

Quoc Phan, MDQuoc Phan, MD

Dr. Quoc Phan is board certified in family medicine and has been in practice for six years. He completed his residency at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, affiliated with Duke University Medical Center, and earned his doctorate at Meharry Medical College. Dr. Phan enjoys getting to know his patients and caring for each individual’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. He cares for both adults and children.

 

James Yanes, MDJames Yanes, MD

Dr. James Yanes is an internal medicine specialist who completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, Arizona. He also completed a fellowship in infectious diseases. He is a specialty clinician for the Valley of Fever Center of Excellence in Phoenix, Arizona, where he diagnoses and treats valley fever. His special interests include diabetic wound infections and travel medicine. Dr. Yanes is married and has three children. He enjoys playing golf and is teaching his son to play.

Sue Dennie, ARNPSue Dennie, ARNP

Sue Dennie is a family nurse practitioner with extensive experience in primary care with acute and chronic disease management. She cared for patients as a registered nurse for nearly 30 years before receiving her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license and becoming board certified in 1996.
