Monica Young, MD
Dr. Monica Young is a general and gastrointestinal surgeon who is focused on providing excellent surgical care in the comfort of a community setting. She believes patients benefit from receiving specialized treatment near the support of family and friends. She is committed to counseling and treating patients with honesty, compassion and respect.
As a specialist trained in general, bariatric and gastrointestinal surgery she treats surgical problems with minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Young’s particular areas of expertise include laparoscopic procedures for gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, lap band removals, paraesophageal or hiatal hernias as well as Heller myotomy for achalasia. She also performs all general surgical procedures including abdominal wall hernias, gallbladder disease, breast problems and skin lesions.

SANDRA PEARCE, RDN, CD
Sandra Pearce is an honors graduate of Seattle Pacific University who completed her clinical training in local practices around Thurston and Mason County. Sandra focuses on finding individualized and unique solutions, believing there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to improving diet and lifestyle.
Sandra oversees the nutrition counseling in the Bariatric Surgery program and is also taking general nutrition referrals from all offices in the Puget Sound region.
